Character Abilities
The following abilities can be obtained from ability draws.
Dragoon's Pride
Soar to a chosen crystal and attack foes in a wide area (severe damage). Targets the boss if Bravery Burst is activated.
Dragon Scourge
Leap forward and attack foes in a wide area in front of you (high damage).
Vigilant
Leap backward and moderately increase your own ATK (15s).
Spiral Blow
Charge at foes in front of you (low damage).
Unique Ability
Jump
Hold: Leap forward and launch nearby foes into the air.
Passive
Honor of the Dragoons
Increases ATK when unique ability attack lands (15s).
Fighting Style
The following fighting styles take into account abilities that can be obtained through ability draws.
Kain can Jump and launch a surprise attack on semi-distant foes. If the attack lands, his passive ability will raise his ATK, giving him an even greater edge over enemies.
Dragon Scourge can damage foes in a wide area, and Vigilant allows him to evade would-be attackers with ease.
He can also use Dragoon's Pride to instantly soar to a crystal or boss and deliver a powerful strike!

Background
This young commander of the Baron Dragoons has always been quick to leap to the aid of his allies.
Justice and honor are of paramount importance to Kain. When his dear friend Cecil came under suspicion of treason, he did not hesitate to defend the troubled knight, even in the face of danger.
Kain's loyalty to his friend would clash with his affection for Rosa, who would become Cecil's beloved. Although he was burdened by guilt over these feelings and a sense of inferiority toward his friend, he kept his inner turmoil hidden from all.
This weakness would be exploited by Golbez, who robbed Kain of his free will and forced him to attack his former comrades. Kain eventually broke free and turned his lance against their true enemy.
His late father was also a dragoon, and he continues to walk that path so as to feel his father's presence.
